Finally Barack Obama admits (kind of) the truth about the victory in Iraq:
“I think that the surge has succeeded in ways that nobody anticipated,” Obama said while refusing to retract his initial opposition to the surge. “I’ve already said it’s succeeded beyond our wildest dreams.”
Er, correction, Senator. Here are two people who did anticipate that success, which is precisely why they courageously argued for the winning strategy you foolishly opposed:
1. George Bush.
2. John McCain.

September 24, 2008: The government is negotiating with the Pakistani government to form joint Afghan/NATO/Pakistani teams to guard the border, and able to freely operate on both sides of the border. What the Afghans want to do is eliminate the Pakistani border guards that side with the Taliban. Over the last few years, there have been dozens of incidents where the Pakistani border guards actively assisted the Taliban.
