Practical Wisdom

Robert Mitchum in 1966

As we only too well know, the great majority of Hollywood actors today are rabid leftists, so it is rather refreshing to see the legendary Robert Mitchum,in a 1966 interview, give his views on the idea of pulling out of Vietnam. Mitchum done a number of tours to Vietnam to give moral support to the troops, and he was renowned for returning to the States and either ringing up or visiting the relatives of troops he had met back in Nam. While he is only an actor, there is nevertheless a great deal of practical wisdom in what he says, and it is very applicable to the situation in Iraq today.

I am one of the troops that got to shake hands with Robert Mitchum in Vietnam in 1967.

Thank you Mr Mitchum for your support, and a bunch of fun movies.
