Frank Says:

The main problem with the Crusades was that they left the job unfinished. The Europeans got too comfortable and lost their will to fight. Sound familiar?
But let the Muslims keep up what they're doing now. The more they succeed, the closer the world gets to a real crusade.

Beyond the matter of will, the era of the Crusades was a time when what mattered most in war was a sufficiency of bodies. As the Europeans failed to transform the Outre-Mer region into military self-sufficiency, ultimately the Muslims, with their great local superiority in manpower, had to prevail.

Of course, things are different today!

Cheers Francis

No Political Correctness back then.

As well as the self loathing the West has for itself.
