A Moral Stand Needed?

An important essay below, our morals and very sole as a nation is at stake.
Time to make a stand Australia. Stop selling us out for money!

Who runs Australia? Those with the money, usually. -

from http://www.democracyfrontline.org/blog/

There’s a lot of reading here, and I am posting all these items in the hope that some who are as yet unconvinced that Australia is under seige will find some facts here to persuade them to join the fight.

There are those who will say….. “It’s just International finance….the UAE is just doing business”.

To cut to the chase, then:

“the United Arab Emirates is a destination country for men, women, and children trafficked from South and East Asia, Eastern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East for involuntary servitude and for sexual exploitation”

“the UAE is a drug trans-shipment point for traffickers given its proximity to Southwest Asian drug producing countries; the UAE’s position as a major financial center makes it vulnerable to money laundering; anti-money-laundering controls improving, but informal banking remains unregulated.”

If it truly is “just business”, then I’d suggest it is time we became a bit more selective and moral about who we choose to do business with.

If we don’t, we are just whores. Dunno about you, but I don’t see my country that way.

Thanks to JTex for the various items, which have been cobbled together from a wide variety of sources.

The whores of Babylon.

Governments and Big Business are like whores, they’ll go with whoever has the money.

Australians are being sold out, literally.

Emirates sponsorship splurge

Sunday, November 6, 2005

“Introduce the low cost, long haul carrier, operating something like a 3-80 with 800 seats in it and you can start flying very long distances for very low unit costs, and you pass those… through to the fares.”

Emirates Air sponsors the Melbourne Cup and, it seems, just about every other major event in Australia. Worldwide it spends US$200 million a year on corporate communications and sponsorship. Yet this expenditure is in stark contrast with other airlines, which have struggled to survive the past few years. And Emirates keeps building, with 45 of the new giant A380 Airbus aircraft recently ordered. Critics say this is only possible because the company is propped up by government oil dollars. Ali Moore speaks with company president Tim Clark about the airline’s plans.

Emirates president Tim Clark on Australian expansion

Date : 08/10/2006

Reporter: Alan Kohler

ALAN KOHLER: Qantas’s foe, Emirates Airline, was back on the radar this week, on another lobbying mission to double its number of flights here - something to which Qantas is implacably opposed. Emirates argues it warrants better treatment as its invested more than a billion dollars in Australia in the past decade, and increased flights would help tourism, which does need some helping. I spoke to Emirates President Tim Clark at Melbourne Airport, where he was opening a new business lounge. Well, Tim Clarke, you’re asking for more access for Emirates into Australia. Can you tell us exactly what you want?http://www.abc.net.au/insidebusiness/content/2006/s1765168.htm

Australian Federal Government grant Etihad and Emirates airlines increased Australian access
Friday, March 23, 2007

Successful UAE talks between Australia’s Federal Government and Middle Eastern governments have resulted in the doubling of the number of services between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane by 2011. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Transport and Regional Services, Mark Vaile, made the announcement yesterday and is confident that the increase will result in a boost for both the aviation and tourism industry’s in Australia.

The new agreement was signed in Abu Dhabi on 21 March with both Emirates and Etihad Airways set to benefit from the new services. Emirates will receive an additional 35 flights each week to Australia by 2001, with Etihad being allotted an additional 21 flights each week by the same date. Vaile has also outlined that the new expansion also addresses the significant hub and route advantages that UAE carriers offer to Australian carriers in accessing markets“This is a five year strategic approach to growing our air services relationship with the region. It not only provides capacity ahead of demand, but importantly gives investment certainty for Australian and UAE carriers,” said Vaile. “Carriers can now confidently commit their aircraft to the Australian market and Australian tourism and trade will be the beneficiaries.

”The agreement will also apply to Australian carriers, with Australia being given the equivalent number of services to a variety of destinations in the UK, Europe, Africa or the Middle East via the UAE.

Ultimately the Australian Government aims to acquire a long term commitment from foreign carriers, ensuring a long-term presence in Australia. The number of flights for UAE carriers operating from Dubai to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Peth has been scheduled to gradually increase over a period of five years from 49 to 84 services a week. UAE carriers operating from Abu Dhabi (to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Peth) will be able to increase weekly services from 7 to 28 by the year 2010.

“Australia places great importance on its relations with the members of the Gulf Cooperation Council. Our trade with these partners is growing, and increased air links between Australia and the UAE bring new opportunities for Australian consumers, the Australian tourism industry, and many other sectors of the Australian economy,” said Vaile. http://www.etravelblackboard.com/index.asp?id=62834&nav=2

CIA WORLD FACT BOOK
Trafficking in persons:

Current situation: the United Arab Emirates is a destination country for men, women, and children trafficked from South and East Asia, Eastern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East for involuntary servitude and for sexual exploitation; an estimated 10,000 women from sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe, South and East Asia, Iraq, Iran, and Morocco may be victims of sex trafficking in the UAE; women also migrate from Africa, and South and Southeast Asia to work as domestic servants, but may have their passports confiscated, be denied permission to leave the place of employment in the home, or face sexual or physical abuse by their employers; men from South Asia come to the UAE to work in the construction industry, but may be subjected to conditions of involuntary servitude as they are coerced to pay off recruitment and travel costs, sometimes having their wages denied for months at a time; victims of child camel jockey trafficking may still remain in the UAE, despite a July 2005 law banning the practice; while all identified victims were repatriated at the government’s expense to their home countries, questions persist as to the effectiveness of the ban and the true number of victimstier rating:

Tier 2 Watch List -

UAE is placed on the Tier 2 Watch List for its failure to show increased efforts to combat trafficking in 2005, particularly in its efforts to address the large-scale trafficking of foreign girls and women for commercial sexual exploitation

Illicit drugs:

the UAE is a drug trans-shipment point for traffickers given its proximity to Southwest Asian drug producing countries; the UAE’s position as a major financial center makes it vulnerable to money laundering; anti-money-laundering controls improving, but informal banking remains unregulated.http://www.drhuang.com/Regional/factbook/geos/ae.html

It's not a pretty picture- so many in the West selling us out.

The thing that shits me is that most don't even realise what is happening. If they do realise then they just don't care!

Any self respecting lady of Melbourne who understands islam's treatment of women would if they had any self-respect for themselves - would fucking stay away from the Emirates Melbourne Cup.

Hehehe. Unless a group of us all go in flouro freedom sacks with Emirates logos all over them.

When people ask what it's all about, explain that we are honouring our new islamic overlords.

We get to be islamically modest, but with mickey mouse ears we can still take the piss.

That's my thought at the end of a long day, anyway.
