Bad News from Europe: Nazi Methods in Court

The Dutch judicial authorities are going to prosecute Geert Wilders, one of the 150 members of the Dutch Parliament, for making the movie Fitna. In this short documentary, which explains what happens if a number of verses of the Koran are taken seriously, Mr Wilders compares the Muslims’ holy book to Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf. He claims the Koran calls for violence against Jews and other non-Muslims. Fitna can be seen here.

This is what ruffles my feathers...

...If Geert Wilders is being charged with Hate Speech, though Fitna was basically images of angry and violent muslims accompanied by QUOTES FROM THE Qur'an, then, shouldn't the Qur'an be considered the devil's advocate here in this case, and therefore be outlawed? If the QUOTES FROM THE DOCTRINE incite hate and violence towawrds People of the Book (Jews and Christians), Pagans, non believers, gays, hindus, buddhists, etc, then WHY are we allowing the distribution OF A HATE FILLED BOOK? Come on people! This is a case of the world turned on it's ever loving head. You can ding me down as much as you'd like, folks, but seriously, when WRONG, or hate speech/doctrine, is protected for being exposed as it stands, and RIGHT, or truth, is being charged with a crime for being HONEST, then we are looking at a world gone mad!

Muslims are allowed to spew as much hate as they want, because it is their religion. However, if we infidels point out that they are spewing hate speech, we are sued. See the problem?

Allowing Islam to spread unchecked in my country for 60 years has now resulted in Muslims demonstrating in the streets under the flags of terrorist organisations, calling for Jews to be put on the gas, fire bomb attacks on synagogues, etc. etc. As far as I am concerned Islam has not added one single positive thing to my country. Give me one good reason why we should let it spread some more?

Alla-hu Akbar, Alla-hu Akbar
00:32:00
Hitler! Heil Hitler! Hitler! Hitler! Hitler! …
00:40:00
We must just kill all those Jews, man! Then we'd be rid of them, man!
00:45:00
All Jews, man, they will never be loved, never loved.
01:15:00
We are prepared for everything! Prepared for everything! It is you [shouting].
01:28:00
[Interrupting] Give us some Jews!
01:29:00
Now listen up. Now you go home, treading [??] where you want. If you meet some Jews.
01:35:00
[Interrupting] We fuck them, man!
01:38:00
Tell them how many they've killed.
01:40:00
Tell them how all Arabs from Copenhagen, how all Arabs from [??], how all Arabs from Hitler, how their punishment will be, for the blood of the Palestinians.
02:00:00
[Assorted shouting, including:] Fucking Jews, man!
02:08:00
Death to Israel.
02:42:00
Kill the Jews.
02:44:00
Allah-hu Akbar
03:08:00
Israel under my foot, Palestine in my blood!
03:18:00
Muhammad Rasul Allah! [Muhammad prophet of Allah!]

Viva, viva Palestine! Viva, viva Palestine!
05:25:00
[The banner reads:] Is this defense?
05:30:00
Viva, viva Palestine! Viva, viva Palestine!
05:50:00
Give us some Jews! Give us some Jews! [Explosion heard]

Aussie workers rudest in world

By Caitlin O'Toole

January 15, 2009 06:00am

  • US and UK most sensitive at work
  • Speakerphones, guests, no drinks offend
  • Prying into colleagues personal life a no-no

AUSTRALIANS doing business abroad better watch what they say, after a survey found Americans and British colleagues think we're rude.

Australians working overseas are most likely to offend in the US and the UK, according to an international workplace survey which found Britain and America have the strictest office etiquette.

In fact, workers in the US and UK are more sensitive even than business colleagues from etiquette-conscious Japan, China or the Middle East.

English and American business people were more offended by colleagues who use speakerphones, swearing and not being offered a drink than their international counterparts.

They also hate the distraction of personal guests visiting the workplace.

No "good morning" from colleagues when they start the day was also considered offensive, the survey found.

According to the survey of business people in 13 countries, the top five business pet peeves are: people who arrive at work without greeting their workmates, not offering office guests a drink, speaking too loudly across a room, swearing and using speakerphone.

Swearing was the issue that most divides Australians from their international business colleagues.

A quarter of Australians say it is perfectly acceptable to swear while doing business, while almost all of the English and Americans surveyed found it deeply offensive.

Almost 90 per cent of Japanese and 80 per cent of Middle Eastern participants also rated swearing as very offensive.

Politics | Wed, Jan 21, 2009 at 1:51:01 pm PST

Another milestone for our new President: he’s the first President in 56 years to snub the American Legion’s “Salute to Heroes Inaugural Ball.”

The American Legion sponsors the ball, which recognizes recipients of Medal of Honor, the nation’s highest military award. It started in 1953 for President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s first inauguration.

Event co-sponsors include 13 other veterans service organizations, among them the Military Order of the Purple Heart and the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

Now council chiefs are sending heat detector vans down your street... to snoop on 'wasters'

Town hall chiefs are sending out an army heat detector vans to take thermal pictures of homes and then confront owners with evidence that they are wasting energy.

Tens of thousands of homes have been photographed at night over the last few months using cameras which reveal where heat is escaping from windows, doors and roofs.

Council bosses hope the images will shock householders into plugging up gaps in draughty windows and doors, and persuade them to insulate their homes.

The company behind the taxypayer funded Heatseekers scheme hopes to survey every home in the country in the next few years.

Art of War

Studying the Islamic Way of War

by Raymond Ibrahim
National Review Online
September 11, 2008

At the inaugural conference for the Association for the Study of the Middle East and Africa (ASMEA) back in April, presenter LTC Joseph Myers made an interesting point that deserves further elaboration. Though military studies have traditionally valued and absorbed the texts of classical war doctrine — such as Clausewitz's On War, Sun Tsu's The Art of War, even the exploits of Alexander the Great as recorded in Arrian and Plutarch — Islamic war doctrine, which is just as if not more textually grounded, is totally ignored.

As recently as 2006, former top Pentagon official William Gawthrop lamented that "the senior Service colleges of the Department of Defense had not incorporated into their curriculum a systematic study of Muhammad as a military or political leader. As a consequence, we still do not have an in-depth understanding of the war-fighting doctrine laid down by Muhammad, how it might be applied today by an increasing number of Islamic groups, or how it might be countered [emphasis added]." Today, seven full years after September 11, our understanding of the Islamic way of war is little better.
